Following incredibly positive feedback from Farm Together, Farm Together 2 has brilliantly improved on everything the first title lacked. With straightforward gameplay and multiple tasks to complete, you get to build your farm from scratch! This, of course, comes with some challenges, especially for first-time players.
Farm Together 2 is still in Early Access Mode. This beginner guide details everything you need to know before starting your Farm Together 2 Save.
Farm Together 2 – Top Things I wish I knew Sooner
Maps
The first tip is you need to know how crucial your map is. Even as a beginner, there’s crucial information about your farm to learn just by looking at the map.
As shown above, each coloured segment of your map indicates the area where you currently have some activity.
What the game does not tell you is that when the coloured square is filled with tiny dots, then whatever farming task you have ongoing in that segment is done! Now you know.
TIP: Small red xes means the area needs your immediate attention!
Farm Produce Classification
Every farm product in the game, from the different crops to trees to animals and herbs, everything has a unique group.
You can sort through them while in the shop interface using this classification system.
TIP: Pressing Z on any produce shows you all-time stats of how much money you spend and earn for that particular produce. This comes in handy if you need to know which products earn you more money.
SELL! SELL!! And Keep SELLING!!!
Selling farm produce is just as important as doing actual farming tasks. So ensure you get your gem balance up by frequently visiting the town to sell your harvests!
TIP: Increase your storage capacity to increase the amount of produce you carry to the town each run
DECORATIONS
Almost all decorations have a variant that changes the colour or design outline. You can check before installing any of them by pressing the Z on your keyboard.
TIP: While constructing roads, pressing Z lets you change the shape of the road. With this, you can get curved roads, wiggly ones, or even the typical straight roads.
Auto Farming And Sprinklers
The game comes with auto-farming mode. Take advantage of it, and use sprinklers to increase how fast you grow crops and trees.
Fuel Depots
Build a lot of fuel depots! To do this, focus on increasing your farm output. Fuel depots are in the Buildings tab of the Shop interface.
TIP: You don’t always have to use the tractor, especially when all your fields are occupied. Save fuel even if you have enough fuel depots to supply your 24/7 tractor use!
Guestbook
Always check your guestbook to see who paid a visit to your farm. Clicking on any guest’s name lets you decide what the player can do when they visit.
From full access to working on your farm to out rightly banning them, there are a lot of options to play around with.
Farm Visibility
As scary as it is to give a stranger access to your farm, don’t be afraid! Put your visibility online (public) and let guests plant or complete quests for you.
It can be quite fun, especially if you return to full fields of crops you typically don’t plant.
